André Valente, Senior Strategy Advisor, joined LakeStream in January 2026 and supports LakeStream's fund-related services. André brings over 44 years of experience in Swiss and international fund management, administration, and governance. He is the founder and Managing Director of AV Fund Governance & Consulting GmbH (Sissach, Switzerland), through which he advises asset managers, fund administrators, and financial intermediaries on governance, regulatory compliance, and operational strategy.
André held senior leadership roles at UBS for more than three decades, most recently as CEO of UBS Fund Management Switzerland, overseeing a fund platform of more than CHF 400 billion in assets under administration. He previously served as Global Head of Business Development, Client Services & Marketing for UBS Fund Services, managing teams across Switzerland, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, the Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong.
His areas of expertise include ManCo governance and oversight, fund structuring and private labelling, regulatory compliance (FINMA, CSSF), outsourced investment operations, and business development in traditional and alternative asset classes. André has also served as Board member in 3 Fund Management Companies in Switzerland and Luxembourg and as a lecturer at the Fund Academy in the field of Fund Governance.
